5 Facts about Rudraksha
1) It is a divine drop of Lord Shiva’s meditation sea
Long time ago, The Supreme Adiyogi was immersed in the sea of meditation. Years passed and he remained still. Celestial beings bowed to him for his undaunted conviction and wondered, “How long would He remain in the ocean of concentration?”
And then the sky reverberated as Lord Shiva blessed the earth through releasing his assembled Shakti of meditation in the form of a tear drop.
This is what we call Rudraksha. It is a compilation of two words – Rudra (means Shiva) and Aksha (means tears). It is also called tears of Shiva.
